The Journey Behind Our Art: From Failures to Perfection — The Story of How We Built Our Final Masterpiece

Every product has a beginning. But not every product has a story like this.

Before Waldec Creations ever launched, before the first design ever reached a wall, we went through a journey filled with mistakes, failures, broken materials, wrong suppliers, and endless nights of testing. What you see today is not just wall art — it is the result of struggle, learning, and relentless improvement.

This is the story behind our final piece. A story of patience, passion, and refusing to give up.

1. The First Prototype — The Moment We Realised “Good” Was Not Enough

Our first prototype looked promising. The idea was strong, the CNC cuts were clean, and the concept felt exciting. But once we tested it, we saw the truth:

  • The curves weren’t smooth enough

  • The radiuses felt sharp and unbalanced

  • The flow wasn’t premium

  • The overall design didn’t feel “finished”

So we went back to the drawing board.

We reshaped every curve. We softened every radius. We refined every line.

What came out was a design that finally felt modern, elegant, and worthy of a premium home.

2. The LED Struggle — From Basic Strips to Smart App Control

Lighting was one of our biggest challenges.

We tested:

  • COB LEDs

  • RGB strips

  • Warm white strips

  • Expensive controllers

Some were too dim. Some were too bright. Some flickered. Some heated up too much.

We rejected LED after LED until we finally found the perfect solution:

Smart LED lighting with full app control.

Now you can adjust:

  • Brightness

  • Color

  • Effects

  • Mood

  • Timing

The lighting is smooth, safe, and beautifully balanced — exactly how modern wall art should feel.

3. MDF: The Material That Failed Us

At first, we used MDF. It’s common in CNC work, but during testing we discovered major problems:

  • It was too heavy

  • It started curving and warping

  • It struggled with humidity

  • It made installation difficult

  • It didn’t hold inserts well

We knew we couldn’t release a product that would fail on someone’s wall.

So we searched for something better.

4. The Breakthrough: Core Okoume — Half the Weight, Double the Strength

After testing multiple materials, we found our hero:

Core Okoume.

It changed everything.

  • Half the weight of MDF

  • Stronger and more stable

  • No warping

  • Perfect CNC finish

  • Cleaner edges

  • Better durability

This was the moment our product became professional‑grade.

5. The Glue Nightmare — 10 Glues Rejected Before Finding “The One”

You would think glue is simple. It wasn’t.

We tested glue after glue:

  • Some were too weak

  • Some peeled off

  • Some reacted with Thermo Packing 3D

  • Some left residue

  • Some didn’t bond to Okoume

We rejected 10 different glues.

Finally, we found our winner:

Proxima Bond — strong, clean, reliable.

This glue became the backbone of our assembly.

6. The Golden Strip Disaster — Bending, Rippling, and Failing

Our first golden stainless strip looked beautiful… until we installed it.

It was:

  • Too thin

  • Too flexible

  • Forming ripples

  • Bending instead of staying straight

It ruined the premium look.

So we upgraded to a thicker, stronger, more expensive stainless strip — and the difference was unbelievable.

Straight. Solid. Premium. Perfect.

7. The Stainless‑to‑Wood Bonding Problem — 7 Glues Rejected

Bonding stainless steel to wood is not easy.

We tried:

  • Construction adhesives

  • Silicone

  • Epoxy

  • Hybrid glues

  • Industrial adhesives

Some peeled like rubber. Some didn’t bond at all. Some broke with a finger push.

We rejected 7 more glues.

Finally, we found the one that worked:

Locainea Super Strength Adhesive.

So strong that you need a chisel to remove it.

That’s the level of strength we wanted.

8. The Insert Failure — MDF Ripped Apart

To hang the Norman window flower on the design, we needed strong inserts.

We tried:

  • Wood Metal inserts → MDF ripped apart

  • Nylon inserts → wrong size, loose fit

Finally, we found the perfect solution:

Nylon MDF inserts — strong, clean, and perfectly fitted.

Another problem solved.

9. The LED Power Supply Disaster — The Pulse Problem

Just when we thought everything was ready, the biggest problem arrived.

Our bulk LED order came with the wrong power supply.

  • Not enough amps

  • LEDs pulsing

  • Flickering

  • Unstable brightness

We tested everything and confirmed the issue: The supplier sent the wrong power supply.

We had to wait 45 days for a new batch to be manufactured and shipped.

It delayed everything. But we refused to release a product that wasn’t perfect.

10. The Final Result — Not Just Wall Decor… It’s Our Hard Work on Your Wall

After months of failures, testing, redesigning, and rebuilding…

After:

  • 2 prototypes

  • 17 rejected glues

  • 3 material changes

  • 2 LED system upgrades

  • 45 days waiting for power supplies

  • Countless nights of testing

We finally created the piece we dreamed of.

This is not just wall decor. This is not just a product.

This is our journey.

Our struggle. Our patience. Our craftsmanship. Our heart.

When you hang this on your wall, you are not just buying art — you are buying the story behind it.

A story of never giving up. A story of learning. A story of building something truly premium.

This is Waldec Creations. And this is only the beginning.
